Road Construction

The next phase of Juliette Avenue construction is underway. During this phase of construction the closure on Juliette will be from the alley between Houston Street and Pierre Street south to the Pierre Street intersection, extending half way down the block in front of the grade school. 

This second phase in front of Manhattan Catholic Schools will be completed during summer break, from approximately May 16 to August 8, 2025.

Please drive safely in this area, follow signage and look out for construction workers!

Traffic Impacts:
Expect light to moderate traffic and some delays on Houston Street, Juliette Avenue, Pierre Street, and Poyntz Avenue.

Math Counts

February 8th was the Chapter competition for MathCounts. Nathaniel Stamm, Kendall Feldkamp, Jilliann Gray, Damien Aikens, Molly McCullough, and Jack KuKanich represented MCS in the Chapter (regional) competition for MathCounts.  Several students placed in the top 10, including Nathaniel Stamm (7th), Damien Aikens (8th), and Molly McCullough (10th).  The team placed second and moved to the State competition today, March 1. Congratulations!"

Maria Riley is a passionate Catholic author who loves writing stories to teach the faith in simple and engaging ways. You will find her volunteering with her local parish when she’s not writing or mom-ing around with her four daughters.
