Manhattan Catholic Schools is committed to supporting the overall health and well-being of our students and faculty as part of our commitment to educating the spirit, mind, and body. Counseling services are available and are provided at no cost to the student's family. The school counselor, Ms. Berning, works with all students through classroom counseling lessons throughout the school year. In addition, individual and group counseling services as well as crisis interventions are available as needed.
Services available:
- Individual and small group counseling
- Consultation and collaboration with MCS Staff and Parents
- Social/Emotional Student Support
- Academic Skills Support
- Organization, study and test-taking skills
- Communication, problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution
- Referrals to outside community resources

Bullying Prevention Information
If you hear from your student about bullying, please contact your building principal, teacher or counselor. Remember, not all incidents are bullying incidents.
There is conflict in every social environment that usually can be de-escalated by the homeroom teacher. Please read the Parent-Student Handbook for more information.

Based on our philosophy that Catholic Schools have been established to provide an environment of faith, which brings all of life together within the grace and love of God, we have established the anti-bullying policy set forth. The Salina Diocese Catholic Schools views bullying as unchristian behavior, and it will not be tolerated.

Bullying is aggressive behavior that is intentional, severe or persistent, creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive environment, and that results in the following:
- actual physical or mental harm
- reasonable fear of physical or mental harm
- actual damage to property
- reasonable fear of damage to property
